Colour-blind-safe palettes and reduced transparency.
What you'll do: switch to a palette that is easier to tell apart, and make the panels solid.
Steps
- Open Settings in the sidebar, then Accessibility.
- Under Colour-blind-safe palette, choose Deuteranopia (red-green), Protanopia (red-green) or Tritanopia (blue-yellow). Off is the default.

- Check the preview, which shows a few threads and a stitched row drawn with your choice.
- Under Transparency, look at Reduce Transparency. Stitched Off follows the Reduce Transparency setting in your iPad's own Accessibility settings. When that is on, glass bars and sheets turn solid.
